The main objective of the project is to increase the capacity of institutions educating young people in the field of agriculture, milk production and processing in Tanzania, which, according to the assumption made, will significantly improve the quality of education of specialists in these fields. The increase in education effects will contribute to the increase in the number of specialists and improve the position of young people on the labor market and will affect the development of agriculture and milk processing in Tanzania. The project is multi-annual (3 modules), therefore the activities planned in it are of a subsequent and complementary nature. Project activities carried out in 2024 included preparing conditions for increasing the production of milk and dairy products and improving their safety and quality by increasing the potential in the field of feed production (increase in the area of irrigated crops, introduction of new feed plants), increasing milk yield through more efficient feeding of cows and implementing a quality assessment system for milk and dairy products. The knowledge and advice of external experts in the field of irrigation, animal breeding and veterinary medicine were used in the implementation of the activities. The project included activities related to the modernization of the training base, consisting of the modernization of existing buildings (milk processing plant, milking parlor, livestock and farm buildings) and the additional equipment for the production and analytical evaluation of dairy products, training of teaching staff and technical staff and educating young people in this area. As part of the care for the environment, a photovoltaic panel system was purchased as an ecological source of electricity. The project also included activities aimed at promoting the project, using social media for this purpose (Partners’ websites, portals: Facebook, X).
