Our new well in Tanzania

Ensuring access to clean water and adequate sanitation is at the heart of Sustainable Development Goal 6 and is a key requirement for long-term social, economic, and environmental development. In Tanzania, water availability is shaped not only by natural resources but also by the way water systems are planned, managed, and maintained. Despite progress, many rural communities still struggle with issues related to water quality, supply reliability, and sanitation infrastructure. These challenges directly impact public health, educational outcomes, and local economic activity. Work supported by the Science for Development Foundation contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6. As part of the Polish Aid project implemented for the Livestock Training Agency in Tengeru, we took on the challenge of drilling a new well.
